I couldn't find a red Civic picture that was worth a crap, so here is what I came out with.

Option 1:

Paint the face of the wheel, leaving the inside the textured grey/silver and polishing the lip.

Option 2:

Polish the entire face including the lip and leave the inside textured grey/silver.

I'm not doing it. Shawn just doesn't want to finish polishing them out, so he's thinking about painting them, but I don't think it would look good.

I think that Baverian pwrs dad will powder coat wheels for 35 a piece. But if your going to do one of them I say polish them.

....! That's a hell of a deal! You sure he does them for that cheap?!

Oh, and I vote polish. Not that I'm into shiny stuff...just looks 10 times better than option #1. No offense to those currently running on option #1 by the way. :)

That is not really an accurate statement.

Painting wheels follows the same basic rule as painting cars. They only look as good as the time and effort that you put in to them.

The guy doesn't want to finish polishing them, so that means he is probably getting lazy. Chances are he will skip steps when painting in order to get them done.. I say let someone else paint them, I have seen a couple of sets of Si wheels with the Rota Group N (Mugen RNR) black with red theme going on.. Actually looks alright...

I'll agree to that. OEM>Cheap in every aspect. But if these are a downgrade or just midgrade in quality, don't do it.. Or your paying for them, I'd say don't do it, just keep saving for some quality wheels that would really benifit the car while looking nice doing it... I see those wheels on too many cars on the road already.. :p

ok these are my old wheels that were beat up pretty badly anyway. Si wheels look great on any honda they will fit. he started polishing them cause of teh beat up-ed-ness. leaving them like they were was not a good option, if they were new that would be different. she got them from me for cheap but they are still an upgrade from her current oem stock wheels which are 14" steelies w/ dubcaps. now after that, option 1? or option 2?

Option 2. Polish them Shawn. I will help you polish them if you help me with my 5-speed/interior swap. :D

i wan't talkin about rota's. I've had three sets of those and they are nice wheels i don't care what anyone says about it. They may be COPIES of other wheels but they are nice and lightweight. That's not saying i'm going to buy some but i like them nonetheless.
