$1.5 million actually.... car costs $9 million apice for them to build:eek:

in the latest Top Gear, Jeremy Clarkson races one from Italy to London against Hamster:p and Captain Slow:rolleyes: in an airplane.... and wins.:D

The Veyron is so fast that if it and a Mclaren F1 lined up at a stop... the Veyron could let the F1 get to 120MPH before starting and still beat it to 200MPH:eek:

0-60 in 2.5 seconds

Keep in mind as well, this car is no bare-bones sports car. Heated seats/steering wheel, DVD Navigation, world class audio components, heated glass, power everything! The car weighs in at a massive 4162 lbs.

This car weighs almost 2 tons, so why is it so fast? Well, having a 16 cylinder engine paired with 4 turbochargers definately helps. With a 1000 bhp and a 7-speed Semi-Automatic AWD transmission at a drivers disposal, it is quite easy to reach it's electronically limited 240.3 mph top speed. 240 mph is hardly a new feat for a high end sports car. Knowing this, Bugatti supplies every owner with a titanium key that while the engine is turned off, can be inserted into an extra key hole. Once this is done, the words "Top Speed" appear on the gauge cluster, the car's suspension is electronically lowered. During that time, the computer will run a series of precautionary safety checks to ensure everything is in proper working order to achieve a theoretical top speed run of 253 mph. Granted, that's if there is enough road.

Hamster and Capt. Slow would have won if it had not gotten dark! But that car is bad ...! I forgot how many they said they made. I know it wasn't many. The turn signal and windshield wiper knobs alone cost roughly $6000 American, 4000 pounds.

I love Top Gear!!! Too bad it won't be on this week. I think we have watched the new episode 3 times. Once was while I was getting b18apwr and b18ccivics drunk on margaritas. So, I guess I've really only watched it twice! It will have to hold me over until the 27th!!

i have it downloaded... its like 350MB.... im slowly downloading every episode all the way back to 1989:eek: ... i love torrents

yeah they might have won... but i think they still would have had to stop for gas again... that distance was way farther than their first jump.

There is a final gear.com page or somthing that has the show listings. I've got the episode in question and some others.

They got a tailwind in that last bit as well that they did not have for the first jump if I remember.
