you might be able to find one for around 500-800. I sold mine for around 600
ive got a buddy (hatchguy), who's crx runs consistent 9.4's with no traction

Yep, that motor is a great fit for the 4th gens. I loved it when I owned that car.

b18b1 or a1 is great for the ef...and the thing about those motors is that you can either boost it because of the low compression or vtec it and have some nice torque, or both for a beast ef :) ...either way they can be potent power plants, especially in a light hatch or rex

Do a JDM ITR swap with the LSD tranny and you won't have to worry about adding vtec or boost. It'll be just as fast, more reliable, AND stock

B series engines are one of the most solid platforms Honda ever came up with. I guess i'm preaching to the choir, but i'd go B before i'd go K, even if i had the money.

This for u Tapps G60 i agree with u, but the B is going to get harder to find and K swaps may be more costly, but theyll be around for a while. They are already being transplanted into the earlier model civics and they got a good platform just needs to have the beast unleashed with inside of them thats all. lol

K24 head on K20 block... the K24 block is probably toooooooo big  it can happen pac-man crx for instance has a K20a, it take time, really deep pockets, and someone who knows what the hell they are doing. Money is the key to everything.$$$$$$$$$. i say for what u want a B will be sufficient.

Well whats the difference (If any besides price) in the B16a from the 92-93 Integra and the B16a from the 92-95 (civic i assume)?

Well whats the difference (If any besides price) in the B16a from the 92-93 Integra and the B16a from the 92-95 (civic i assume)? The first B16a came in JDM siR civic's around 91-94 or something(not sure). In the US, we got it in the 1994 Del Sol VTEC model. It was the OBD-1 rated at 160 hp. The next B16a we got was the obd-2 B16a2 that was in the 99-00 Civic SI's. They are rated at 170 hp. The B16 never came in the Integra(in the US at least). And it was never in the pre-99 Civic's in the US. I'm not 100% sure all of this is entirely true, but it's pretty close. Correct me if I'm wrong and add to it if need be.

i've got a question about a B18 swap into an EF, would it bolt in, or will it require new mounts?

Okay, well i may have got some ends mixed up too. Check this out http://hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc2000search.cgi?what=category&keyword=JDM%20USDM%20Engines There is one from a 92-93 Integra (its JDM OBBD-I)

the integra swap has a cable tranny, and yes the b18 in an ef will require new mounts

I've got a B18a in my CRX. I did the swap in an afternoon in my buddy's garage. If you buy all the stuff up front and plan ahead, there's no problems at all. I used Hasport billet mounts and Hasport shift linkage. For axles, I bought 89 Teg AND 91 Teg axles. I took the inner CV and shaft of the 89 and put the outer 91 CV on it. This makes SiR axles. You could always just pay Raxles.com $350 to do this for you, but I feel that "JDM" (Just Did it Myself) is better. Since I already had an Si, no additional wiring was necessary. I chipped my PM6 with fuel and ignition tables from a Dinan-spec PR4 (yes I chip Honda OBD0 and OBD1 ecus). I initially had an S1 tranny from the donor LS. My car sucked. I went from a built, boosted Z6, to a LLLOOOOONNNGGGG geared NA B18A. My car was slow. I found a YS1 from a 93 GSR (shortest geared Honda cable tranny made) and dropped it in. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The torque of the B18 with a super short tranny = rollin at about 20MPH in second and punching the gas to create tire smoking goodness to redline. If you have any questions about 4th gen civic swaps, let me know. I've done a ton of them. I recently bought an 89 four door Civic for $100. I did an auto to manual, DPFI to MPFI, OBD0 to OBD1 swap in it just before Thanksgiving (put my built Z6 in it). This is now my hail damaged, rusted daily driver. Hope this helps.

Why did you do all that cv swapping with the axles? When I did that swap in a crx, I just used axles and intemediate shaft from a 90 integra, they fit perfectly.

The DA Teg axles were too long on one side for whatever reason. I don't know why, though. The car is straight, never been wrecked. The mounts and engine all dropped in just fine, but when it came time to put in the axles from the donor car, no go. I did some reading on EF hybrid axles and saw that Raxles.com sold EF B-series hybrid axles for $350. I found out how they made em and made me a set. They worked perfectly. I'm the only person around here that did this swap using the billet Hasport kit. Everybody else has used Ebay specials and the DA axles worked for them too. Either way it's done and it has worked for over a year.

your four door swap sounds exactly like my first except for i used a b16a1, fun stuff

Thats strange, I used to HAsport billet mounts and linkage as well, everything went in like butter. Hatchguy on here has the car now, as far as I know the swap has never had issues in that regard. I swapped it in about ~3 years ago.
Its cool you made your own though, I hate taking those joints apart and putting em back together.
