well my car is messing up agine it wants to run on 3 cyln but some times all 4 will kick in changed plugs and wires any ideas what it could be

check the things out first
go to a autparts store and by a plug wire tester, they are cheap
check all the wires, if the wires are good go to the distributor or coils, whichever you have, and check them

process of elimination, start at the cheapest to fix, work your way up

if its not ignition, check fuel next
check the fuel filter, then the pump for the right pressure, then the lines, and then finally the injectors...

I would have to agree with this, if its sparking then maybe you have a clogged or bad injector in that cylinder.

yeah, may have dropped an injector, check your dizzy, they can also check injectors i think

(side note)
the Datsun did this too before i changed the plugs... my plugs were really bad. Maybe its a Nissan thing. it would putter on 3 cyl then pick up the 4th after driving for about a mile.

Sounds to me you need to sell everything you own and buy something that does'nt mess up everyday :p How many broke cars you got now?

you acn pull the plug wire off and hear the wire arkin out so it cant be to bad i think it has somthing to do with the plug i changed them but that worked for a day it gos to the shop in the morning

lol yeah the 165 is broke to .... (hole in the blockola)... the 185 is occationally broke (15 year old car, .... happens), the 620 wont die and has somehow become the daily beater... but its broke too (.... carb... 8-10 MPG)

when i buy a new car it will be a Lotus Elise... so ill keep drivin broken ....

The 165 keeps the tools and cherry picker company all day. The 185 is my daily when its running right (will be again on 2/29/05... had a bad igniter), the 620 is my beater/backup till she blows up... then its full overhaul time... HonDatsun :D
